Who is responsible for your data
football minds is an independent football analysis blog and portfolio at ftminds.com. The controller of personal data processed through this website is Marcel Kania. For privacy questions and requests, contact marcel@ftminds.com.
Visiting the website
Our hosting provider, LH.pl Sp. z o.o., processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. Server logs may include your IP address, the requested address, date and time, browser information and technical errors. We process this information to operate the website, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Technical records are retained for the period needed to investigate operational or security issues and are subject to the hosting provider’s log rotation and backup cycles. Records relevant to a specific incident may be retained until that incident and any related claims are resolved.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any information you choose to include. We use these data to handle your enquiry and maintain relevant correspondence, based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you ask us to take steps before entering a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR may apply instead. Our website email is hosted by LH.pl.
Providing information is voluntary, but we need a way to reply. Please do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for your enquiry. Correspondence is retained while the matter is being handled and, where justified, for the period necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Optional website statistics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interactions with our content. This may include pages viewed, referral information, interaction events, general browser and device information, approximate location and identifiers that distinguish a browser across visits. We use these statistics to improve the website and its content. The legal basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Analytics is blocked until you accept optional statistics. You can reject optional statistics and continue using the website. You can also withdraw or change your choice using the Cookie settings button. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Analytics is provided by Google. Its processing may involve Google Ireland Limited, Google LLC and other authorised service providers, including processing outside the European Economic Area. Google describes its applicable transfer mechanisms, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses where applicable, in its international data transfer information. You may contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.
Our Google Analytics property is configured to retain event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. The user-data retention period resets when the user returns and new activity is recorded. Aggregated reports can be retained for longer because the user-level retention setting does not apply to all aggregated reporting. Cookie expiry and the retention of data already received by Analytics are separate.
Cookies and privacy choices
We use Complianz and WP Consent API to apply your cookie choices. Necessary preference records remember whether you have accepted or rejected optional categories. These records do not provide a reason to enable optional statistics without your consent.
- Necessary: cookies beginning with
cmplz_orwp_consent_record consent choices and the version of the notice. Complianz stores these records for up to 365 days; WP Consent API is configured for 30 days. They allow the website to remember and respect your decision. - Optional statistics: Google Analytics uses cookies such as
_gaand_ga_21G5VK4CG5to distinguish browsers and maintain session information after consent. Google’s default expiry for these cookies is two years; browser restrictions or changes to settings may shorten their lifetime. - Editor access: WordPress uses additional session and login cookies when authorised editors sign in. Public visitors do not need an account to read the portfolio.
You can delete stored cookies through your browser. This may remove the record of your choice and cause the consent question to appear again. For details of Google’s cookies, see Google Analytics cookie information.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. Erasure is not absolute: some records may need to be kept to meet a legal obligation or deal with legal claims.
Send requests to marcel@ftminds.com. Please describe your request and provide only what is necessary to locate the relevant data. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity; an identity document is not required as a routine condition. We may not be able to identify analytics records from an email address alone. We respond without undue delay, normally within one month; if a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain it within that month.
You may complain to the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), or another competent supervisory authority. Information is available at uodo.gov.pl.
